Question: According to Islam can a man give orders to his spouse? For example can he order his wife to pray ? Or in any other issues?
Nobody can be forced to worship because worship depends on self intention. A man should inspire and advice his wife not to discontinue worships. This is one of the most appreciated good deeds in Islam.

Man as being the family leader, has the authority to set some rules about the issues other than worship. For example he can order his spouse not to go to certain places or not to permit people whom he does not want to enter his home.
