Does serving alcohol forbid me from praying?

I'm working in a tourism and hospitality industry. At times, my job requires me to serve alcohol to customers. Does this forbid me from praying at all?

It is not right for a Muslim to work at a place that serves alcoholic drinks. However, it does not avoid him/her from performing the prayers. One must keep on performing prayers in any case.

Dear brothers and sisters at Islam & Quran I would like to ask about fajr praying times in Istanbul and the calculation method used. I recently visited Istanbul and noted that the fajr praying occurs later than expected or calculated by a software I use in my smart-phone. My phone uses a sun inclination degree of 16 to calculate the fajr praying but I didn't hear the Adhan until 15 minutes after my smart-phone announcement. This occurred over few nights. The Time of Fajr
When can a person start performing prayers after having drunk alcoholic drinks? It is claimed that one should wait for 40 days before starting prayer. Is that right?
My husband does not like going to iftar dinners in Ramadan because of very little time before tarawih and because he`s a Hafiz Qur'an so he likes to go to the same masjid to listen to the Qur'an from the start to the end. I have to decline many invitations, which I do very politely. Even though it`s not our intention, but lately I`ve been very disturbed by the thought that it might be considered arrogance on our side by other people. Please let me know in the light of Qur'an and hadith if we're doing something wrong.
Do applying perfumes, deodorants, colognes or smelling this stuff break the fast? Or decrease its reward? Is it good not to do this while fasting? Furthermore, does using this stuff cause any problem for the prayers?
