Answer: Saint Mary comes from the descendant  of Aaron(pbuh), his ancestor is Isaac and father of Isaac is Abraham. As Allah Almighty commands at the following verse:

يَاۤ اُخْتَ هٰرُونَ مَا كَانَ اَبُوكِ امْرَاَ سَوْءٍ وَمَا كَانَتْ اُمُّكِ بَغِيًّا

“O sister of Aaron, your father was not a evil man, nor was your mother an unchaste.” (Surat Maryam 19/28)

In Arabic language, ”sister of somebody else” is just a way of expression to indicate that he/she comes from the descendant of someone. So that ”Sister of Aaron” words clearly show us that Mary comes from the same lineage of Aaron. (This idea also backed up by, at the Tafsir of Ibn Kathir as views from Alī ibn Abī Ṭālha and Ishmael As-Süddî. At the Surat of Mary,  after telling the story of Jesus, other prophets are mentioned in the Holy Qur’an. Related verse as it follows:

اُوۨلٰۤئِكَ الَّذ۪ينَ اَنْعَمَ اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنَ النَّبِيّ۪نَ مِنْ ذُرِّيَّةِ اٰدَمَ وَمِمَّنْ حَمَلْنَا مَعَ نُوحٍ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّةِ اِبْرٰه۪يمَ وَاِسْرَاۤء۪يلَ وَمِمَّنْ هَدَيْنَا وَاجْتَبَيْناَ اِذَا تُتْلٰى عَلَيْهِمْ اٰيَاتُ الرَّحْمٰنِ خَرُّوا سُجَّدًا وَبُكِيًّا

Those were the ones upon whom Allah bestowed favors from among the prophets of the descendants of Adam and of those We carried [in the ship] with Noah, and of the descendants of Abraham and Israel, and of those whom We guided  to righteousness and chose to admire. When the verses of the Most Merciful were recited to them, they fell in prostration with weeping. (Surat Maryam 19/58)

Allah, The Almighty commands:

اِذْ قَالَ اللّٰهُ يَا ع۪يسٰىۤ اِنّ۪ي مُتَوَفّ۪يكَ وَرَافِعُكَ اِلَيَّ وَمُطَهِّرُكَ مِنَ الَّذ۪ينَ كَفَرُوا وَجَاعِلُ الَّذ۪ينَ اتَّبَعُوكَ فَوْقَ الَّذ۪ينَ كَفَرُوۤا اِلٰى يَوْمِ الْقِيٰمَةِ ثُمَّ اِلَيَّ مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَاَحْكُمُ بَيْنَكُمْ ف۪يمَا كُنْتُمْ ف۪يهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ

 One day Allah said: “Look Jesus, I am going to cause you to die and raise you to my layer. I will purify you from those are ignoring. I will make your observants superior to those concealers till the day of resurrection. At the end all of you will return to me. At that time l will resolve the issues which you conflict in between.” (Surat ‘Āli `Imran, 3/55)

مَا قُلْتُ لَهُمْ اِلَّا مَاۤ اَمَرْتَن۪ي بِه۪ۤ اَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللّٰهَ رَبّ۪ي وَرَبَّكُمْ وَكُنْتُ عَلَيْهِمْ شَه۪يدًا مَا دُمْتُ ف۪يهِمْ فَلَمَّا تَوَفَّيْتَن۪ي كُنْتَ اَنْتَ الرَّق۪يبَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَاَنْتَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَه۪يدٌ

“I told them what you commanded me. Be the servant/slave of Allah, my Lord and your Lord; I said. I was the witness of them as long as I was among them. After you caused me to die, they were just under your observation. You are the witness of all things.” (Surat Al-Mā’idah, 5/117)

In another verse Allah informs us how He rescued Jesus from hand of jews, when they had decided to crucify him.

وَقَوْلِهِمْ اِنَّا قَتَلْنَا الْمَس۪يحَ ع۪يسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ رَسُولَ اللّٰهِ وَمَا قَتَلُوهُ وَمَا صَلَبُوهُ وَلٰكِنْ شُبِّهَ لَهُمْ وَاِنَّ الَّذ۪ينَ اخْتَلَفُوا ف۪يهِ لَف۪ي شَكٍّ مِنْهُ مَا لَهُمْ بِه۪ مِنْ عِلْمٍ اِلَّا اتِّبَاعَ الظَّنّ وَمَا قَتَلُوهُ يَق۪ينًا  بَلْ رَفَعَهُ اللّٰهُ اِلَيْهِ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ عَز۪يزًا حَك۪يمًا

“ In addition to their saying, “We have killed Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah”. They did not kill him or hang him; but for them, he was likened to him. They are in a full of doubt about the thing which they conflict. Their knowledge about this issue is just consisting of assumption. They certainly did not kill him. No, Allah raised him up to himself. Allah is Mighty, Wise. (Surat An-Nisā, 4/157-158)

According to the meaning of this verse, “Allah raised him up to himself” the majority of islamic scholars maintained the idea of Jesus has not died. They believed that Allah, with his power has taken him over the skies, up to himself, so Allah will send Jesus again to the earth, before the day of resurrection. But, in the verses below, Allah informs us clearly that Jesus has died. Moreover, the expression: “… and raise you to my layer…”passes in the verse after the expression “…. I am going to cause you to die …”Complete sentence from Surat ‘Āli `Imran, 3/55 gives us a definite explanation about this topic: “I am going to cause you to die and raise you to my layer.” As it is clarified in this verse Allah caused the death of Jesus, when the time was up for Jesus and Allah ascended soul of Jesus to Himself.

Also there are some hadiths that inform us about the coming back of Jesus to this world. One of them reports thus:

“ I swear over Allah, who holds my soul in his mighty hand, that son of Mary, Jesus, will descend among you as a judge, will break the cross, will kill the pig, will abolish the jizya (tax collected from non-muslims), and will accept nothing else but Islam. The goods will be so abundant that nobody will turn his head. However, a single prostration will be more precious than the world and everything within it.” (Bukhari-Anbiya 50; Muslim-Iman 71; Tirmidhi-Fiten 54.)

The analysis of this hadith and others similar to this demonstrate that the context of these words point that Jesus and Mahdi will descend to earth and will save the muslims from their crisis and difficulties. Moreever, in another hadith passes this expression: “The way the cup is filled with water, that way will the world fill with peace. There will, also, be the oneness of the religion and no one will adore someone else, but Allah.” (Ibn Majah-Fiten, 33).

In a more careful analysis, it will be noticed that after coming back of Jesus to earth, things that he will do such as the killing of the pig, the breaking of the cross, the abolishment of jizya and the converting of everybody to Islam, are not mentioned in the Qur’an. Furthermore, no prophet has been given the responsibility of converting people to Islam by force. Their responsibility is only with preaching.

Allah, The Almighty commands:

مَا عَلَى الرَّسُولِ اِلَّا الْبَلَاغُ وَاللّٰهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تُبْدُونَ وَمَا تَكْتُمُونَ

“Incumbent on the Messenger is just notification. Allah knows what you reveal and what you conceal.” (Surat Al-Mā’idah 5/99)

Another verse follows:

لَاۤ اِكْرَاهَ فِي الدّ۪ينِ قَدْ تَبَيَّنَ الرُّشْدُ مِنَ الْغَيّ فَمَنْ يَكْفُرْ بِالطَّاغُوتِ وَيُؤْمِنْ بِاللّٰهِ فَقَدِ اسْتَمْسَكَ بِالْعُرْوَةِ الْوُثْقٰى لَا انْفِصَامَ لَهَا وَاللّٰهُ سَم۪يعٌ عَل۪يمٌ

“There is no forcing in religion. The truth and untrue have separated from each other entirely. Whoever ignores  fierces, believes in Allah, those are sticking to firmest handle which is impossible to break off. Allah is Hearing, Knowing.(Surat Al-Baqarah 2/256)

A lot of Islamic scholars have considered sufficient the fact that these hadiths had been included in al-Kutub al-Sittah‎(The most famous six hadith books)The authority of the authors of these books (Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Davood, Nasa-i, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah) has caused a natural obstacle to any possible critic of these reports/rumours.

Even though this kind of hadith has a sahih note/ true testimony, but their textual meaning can not get confirmation from the Qur’an. Because Allah informs us in Holy Qur’an that the prophets are bearers of Allah, who gives good tidings and warnings.

اِنْ اَنْتَ اِلَّا نَذ۪يرٌ  اِنَّاۤ اَرْسَلْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ بَش۪يرًا وَنَذ۪يرًا وَاِنْ مِنْ اُمَّةٍ اِلَّا خَلَا ف۪يهَا نَذ۪يرٌ

“You are just the warner, period. Indeed we have sent you with the truth as the harbinger (showing truthful content) and the warner. No community there is so that a warner came and passed by through it.” (Surat Fāţir 35/23-24)

  فَاِنْ اَعْرَضُوا فَمَاۤ اَرْسَلْنَاكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَف۪يظًا اِنْ عَلَيْكَ اِلَّا الْبَلَاغُ وَاِنَّاۤ اِذَاۤ اَذَقْنَا الْاِنْسَانَ مِنَّا رَحْمَةً فَرِحَ بِهَا وَاِنْ تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ اَيْد۪يهِمْ فَاِنَّ الْاِنْسَانَ كَفُورٌ

“Nevertheless if they turn away, let them turn away. We have not placed you as a watcher over them. Incumbent of yours is only a notification. The truth is that when we let human taste our sparing in, therefore he rejoices it. When a badness befalls to his because of what he does evil knowingly, this time he becomes ungrateful.”(Surat Ash-Shūraá 42/48)

وَلَوْ شَاۤءَ رَبُّكَ لَاٰمَنَ مَنْ فِي الْاَرْضِ كُلُّهُمْ جَم۪يعًا اَفَاَنْتَ تُكْرِهُ النَّاسَ حَتّٰى يَكُونُوا مُؤْمِن۪ينَ

“If your Lord put a mandatory law, whoever in the earth would have believed, all of them together. And yet are you going to put pressure on them so they become believers?” (Surat Yūnus 10/99)

The matter of descending of Jesus has been considered as a belief condition. Whereas the scholars that suppose so, are the same scholars that accept that the belief conditions cannot be appointed with an ahad haber.- a single information. The hadith that informs about descending of Jesus is a single information-ahad haber.

As a conclusion, muslims should give up to their expectation like Jesus will descend/return and save the world; and should work much better for Islam. Because Allah, The Almighty says :

لَهُ مُعَقِّبَاتٌ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِه۪ يَحْفَظُونَهُ مِنْ اَمْرِ اللّٰهِ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتّٰى يُغَيِّرُوا مَا بِاَنْفُسِهِمْ وَاِذَاۤ اَرَادَ اللّٰهُ بِقَوْمٍ سُوۤءًا فَلَا مَرَدَّ لَهُ وَمَا لَهُمْ مِنْ دُونِه۪ مِنْ وَالٍ

“There are followers before and behind him; with the command of Allah they do his protection. If a community does not ruin something that they have, also Allah does not ruin it. If Allah wants to afflict to a community, there is no one to stop him. They do not have any fellows who can come in between  Allah and themselves.” (Surat Ar-Ra`d 13/11)

 وَاَنْ لَيْسَ لِلْاِنْسَانِ اِلَّا مَا سَعٰى

“Everybody find what they have done” (Surat An-Najm 53/39)
