Intention for Pilgrimage (Hajj and Umra)

Question: How is the intention -niyyah- of Hajj?

A person who intends to perform Hajj al-Ifrad, that is Hajj only, says: “Glorified Allah, I intend to perform my duty of Hajj; please make it easy for me and accept it.”
A person who intends to perform Hajj al-Qiran, that is Hajj and Umra, says: “Glorified Allah, I intend to perform my duties of Hajj and Umra; please make it easy for me and accept it.”
A person who intends to perform Hajj al-Tamattu should pronounce his intention for Umra during the season of Hajj. After accomplishment of Umra, including shaving and taking off the Ihram, at the same season, the person should pronounce niyyah for Hajj only, just as in Hajj al-Ifrad and change into Ihram again.
A person who intends to perform Umra only, says: “Glorified Allah, I intend to perform my duty of Umra; please make it easy for me and accept it.”
