Question: If i do not have knowledge about how to slaughter animal for sacrifice (Eid Kurban), could I ask somebody to slaughter the animal that i have bought for me? Is it lawful, or should I slaughter it by myself even though I don't have knowledge about it?
Although it is a favorable behaviour that a Muslim slaughters the sacrificial himself, it is not obligatory. You can have another person slaughter instead of you, as long as he obeys the rules of sacrificing.
